Bank of Oklahoma Deploys Mobile Unit to Assist Tornado Victims

Just two days after the destructive tornadoes struck the community of Moore, Oklahoma, senior vice president Mike Curtis, branch operations manager, and vice president Mary Harvey, manager of corporate ATM delivery, were in route from Tulsa to Moore in the Bank of Oklahoma mobile ATM van.

The ATM, purchased from and managed by Welch ATM, is providing FREE mobile banking to the storm victims. "Access to cash when you've lost everything is vital," said Pat Piper, executive vice president for Consumer Banking at the Bank of Oklahoma. "Not to mention,the need is great for volunteers and first responders to get to their money quickly and easily. We're waiving all fees for non-clients so that anyone can utilize the service free of charge."

The ongoing effort to operate the van will involve numerous divisions. "Within minutes of the van being set up and ready to operate, thankful patrons at the site were lining up to utilize the free service," said Brenda McGehee, assistant vice president for Bank of Oklahoma.

The mobile ATM van is set up for anyone who needs it at 301 NE 27th Street at the First Baptist Church of Moore.
